Project Management Apprentice – Bridgwater

Job Description

Queensbury products have been designing innovative packaging for the past 25 years and are looking for Project Management apprentice to join the team to support the delivery of projects from initial ideas and design right through to delivery. This is a wonderful opportunity to really make the role your own and learn from experts in their field.

Responsibilities

Working directly with the Technical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to get involved in various areas of the business and learn all about the fast paced world of manufacturing.

You will learn:

  • Assisting in coordinating and managing projects
  • Working with stakeholders to define project goals
  • Ensuring that resources are available and allocated effectively
  • Create detailed project documentation such as procedures, risk assessments etc
  • Assist with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Monitoring timescales and communicating them to the customer

Projects will range from:

  • Product design & prototyping. From conception through to production.
  • Production systems and procedures
  • Continual Improvements to site processes, layouts etc
  • Health & Safety projects

Person Specification

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Creative
  • Able to think outside the box
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Knowledge of CAD (solidworks) would be useful but not essential
  • An engineering qualification would be useful but not essential

Training

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Associate Project Manager Level 4 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships are an Ofsted Outstanding rated provider and hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021.

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn and develop a vast range of skills, covering a range of topics, including:

  • Leadership
  • Project planning
  • Budgeting
  • How to set up contracts

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded project manager. You will learn in detail about business communication, organisation, managing change, problem solving & much more.

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.
