Marketing Apprentice – Bath

Job Description

Peggy Dodd Centre and RICE both work to improve the lives of people with dementia and their families. This is an incredibly rewarding role which will see you support the marketing of the charities and seeing the results of your work really make a difference. 

 Responsibilities 

Working with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will be supporting the delivery of the communications strategies at Peggy Dodd Centre and RICE communications with the aim of building the profiles and support of both organisations and supporting fundraising initiatives, supporter acquisition and stewardship.   

You will play an important role in helping RICE and Peggy Dodd Centre to realise their visions, by raising the charity profiles with the public, beneficiary families and other key stakeholders.

Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship 

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as: 

  • Brand management 
  • Content creation, SEO and utilising AI 
  • Online and offline marketing, including Google Ads certification 

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Multi Channel Marketer Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships are an Ofsted Outstanding rated provider, and also hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021. 

The training is delivered using a hybrid model and can be delivered fully remotely if needed. You will have monthly 1-2-1s with your assigned tutor, along with monthly group sessions, where one topic will be covered in detail, and you will have the opportunity to meet and work with all the other apprentices on the course. 

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded digital marketer. You will learn in detail about: 

  • Principles of Marketing 
  • Social media  
  • Brand management 
  • Creating content 
  • Evaluating and reviewing campaigns 
  • Paid media (PPC) and much more 

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.

About the Employer 

RICE is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for dementia research, diagnosis and treatment. Their research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Their contracted NHS Memory Clinic service and allied activities provide support to patients, families and carers.  

PEGGY DODD CENTRE is an award-winning charity which works to help people living with dementia and memory loss, whilst providing respite to support the people who care for them. They do this through their day centre in Combe Down and their home support service. The centre has been in existence for nearly thirty years and is an expert in enriching the lives of those affected by dementia through positive activities. The centre can accommodate 62 clients a day, offering 15,500 spaces per year with over 50 home support matches each week. 

Both organisations work closely together with an overarching aim of improving the lives of all those affected by dementia.
