Apprenticeship Information

The customer service qualification has been designed to develop knowledge and skills in key areas such as delivering customer service, customer retention, resolving customer problems, business principles, and managing own performance and professional development. There are a wide variety of customer service settings such as hotels, banks, contact centres, restaurants and retail outlets that are looking for customer service staff.

You’ll complete both practical on-the-job-training to get real experience, and learning that develops your knowledge and understanding of your job. You will develop your understanding of the principles that underpin working in a customer service environment including customer loyalty, customer satisfaction and the principles of business.

What Could This Apprenticeship Lead To?

Once you’ve achieved your Apprenticeship, you could go on to complete further education and qualifications. You could develop your managerial skills with management qualifications, or also complete additional qualifications in subjects related to customer service, like business administration, retail, or sales.

  • You must be a minimum of 16 years old 
  • You must hold 5 GCSE’s graded A* to C or 9-5 or Equivalent
  • Have you been a resident in the EU for 3 years?

If you’re employed as a customer service manager or supervisor, your salary could be from £19,000 to £25,000 a year. With experience, qualifications and extra responsibilities or specialist skills this may rise to around £30,000.
