Who is this qualification for?

The Operations/Departmental Management qualification is a Foundation Degree equivalent and is ideal for someone who manages teams or projects from a senior and operational position. The government estimates that the UK wastes £84 Billion per year due to inadequate management and many businesses are utilising these qualifications to improve productivity.

This  24 month long qualification covers; creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring. Often these qualifications are undertaken by existing mangers but can be a progression from lower level management qualifications.

In addition to the qualification, many managers who undertake this course value the opportunity to share good practice and overcome common issues they face with likeminded managers from other local companies.

How will this be delivered?

The course is delivered and assessed in a variety of ways ensuring that all learning styles are catered for. All group sessions are delivered in an engaging and interactive way and we tailor the course to the learners professional and personal requirements. Learners will complete:

• Bi-monthly full day training sessions
• Developing a portfolio of evidence from your role
• Mentoring sessions with a Management tutor
• Sharing of good practice with like-minded professionals from other companies
• Work based project
• Knowledge test
• End-point-assessment (Skype style interview with City and Guilds to assess competency)
